Meeting to pick a recipient
Attendees: Michael Holloran, Jennifer Holloran, Tammy Keys, Curt Harth, April Weaver, CJ Toole, Ed Gunnyon, Randy Wells and Stan Berkshire
Meeting Opened by Michael Holloran
Discussed concerns about Star Wars characters.
Talked about adding new members for the Washington team, specifically from WSP and Skamania County, as well as getting players from Yakima area to sell touchdowns further North.
Curt asked if there were any concerns about the roughness level of play last year and it was agreed it went much better.
Talked about getting more cheerleaders from different schools; they have been invited every year, but have not been able to attend, so The Dalles cheers for both states. Washington will encourage White Salmon and Goldendale cheerleaders to attend this year.
Michael brought up that it is the 10th year of the Pig Bowl and maybe we should have two recipients this year, one from Oregon and one from Washington.
We discussed all the stories submitted for this years recipient and made phone calls for clarification of details.
A motion was made and seconded and all were in favor to interview candidates in Oregon and Washington.
Suggestion was made to invite recipients from past Pig Bowls to this year’s event. A little 10 year reunion of recipients.
