Pig Bowl Meeting Minutes
July 31, 2016
Meeting to pick a recipient
Attendees: Michael Holloran, Jennifer Holloran, Tammy Keys, Randy Wells, Stan Berkshire, Teresa Cagle
Meeting called to order by Michael Holloran at 6:35pm
We received a request from ACOE to have the Mascot Bobber the water safety dog make an appearance at the Pig Bowl, we had no objections and also thought we should see about getting McGruff the crime dog and Sparky the Fire Dog.
We went over the nominations sent in via the pig bowl website, email, letters delivered in person to the board and those submitted via word of mouth by board members.
We discussed the nominees and went back and forth as to whether to have 2 or 3 recipients. After a lengthy discussion it was decided to stay with 2 for this year.
Also, many board members felt that it was a good opportunity to bless law enforcement officers who have blessed the community over the last decade through the pig bowl.
A motion was made and seconded and all were in favor to contact and interview recipients in Washington and Oregon.
