Buy a Touchdown?

It may sound strange, but one signature of the Pig Bowl is that most of the scoring doesn’t happen on the field, it happens in the stands!  People who attend the Pig Bowl purchase points for their favorite team.  Pig Bowl Announcer Rod Runyon happily announces the business or individual who buys the points and of course which team on the field gets the score.

The scoreboard can be seen in this 2008 halftime photo of the Oregon Team with the Walter Family. The score was actually 458 to 246 at half!

A 7 point touchdown can be purchased for $50

A 3 point field goal can be purchased for $25

A single point after touchdown can also be purchased at any time by paying $5 and making a pig noise on the PA system.

The kids have a great time with this and isn’t long before the field is filled with laughter.

One year someone paid money to see an official crawl around on all fours and oink like a pig!

Now If we could only get the High School Campus a Tripple Digit Scoreboard.
